A 14-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being attacked in capital Male' City on Saturday night.

Police said the boy was attacked near the Majeedhee Magu-Maaveyo Magu intersection, after forcing the car he was traveling in to stop. It added that the attack was reported at 6:38pm on Saturday.

While the boy sustained injuries in attack, including to the head, he was rushed to ADK Hospital for treatment.

Police have yet to confirm any arrests in connection to the attack.

The case is under investigation.
