A man has been injured after being stabbed with a sharp weapon in Phase II of Hulhumalé.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received reports of the assault at around 1:15am, early Wednesday.
The police institution went on to reveal that injured in the assault is a 26-year-old Maldivian man.
The injured youth was rushed to Hulhumalé Hospital for treatment not long after, by officers who were dispatched to the scene.
Hulhumalé Hospital revealed that the man has since been released from the hospital after he sought treatment for the injuries.
MPS noted that no arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing, yet.
However, the stabbing is currently being investigated by the authority.
