The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has contracted the completion of the mosque being constructed in Vaadhoo island of Raa atoll, with Haiman Construction.
The agreement was signed on Tuesday. Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali signed on behalf of the government while Haiman Construction’s Managing Director Ibrahim Habeeb signed on behalf of the company.
The project is valued at MVR 4.3 million, to be funded to complete the mosque’s construction.
Haiman Construction is tasked to complete the project within 180 days.
The construction of a mosque in Vaadhoo island of Raa atoll was included in the state budget for the ongoing year as well.
The project was budgeted for MVR 2,009,893 according to the Finance Ministry.
