Another Maldivian has died with Covid-19 in the Maldives.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that an 84-year-old local woman passed away from Covid-19 on Saturday morning. She was being treated at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility (HMF).

With this, a total of 193 patients have died from Covid-19 in the Maldives.

According to HPA, a total of 111 deaths from Covid-19 were confirmed between April 28 and June 5. 18.9 percent of the deceased did not have any underlying conditions.

The island nation has reported a total of 69,831 Covid-19 cases since the first one was detected in March 2020. There are currently 13,071 active cases, with 56,559 recoveries recorded.

The latest government daily figures also show that a total of 313,609 people had a first dose of a coronavirus vaccine while 176,798 had their second dose by Thursday.
