Maldives has reported an additional death to Covid-19 on Friday.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that a 60-year-old Maldivian wo being treated at Dharumavantha Hospital passed away early morning.
With this, the country has seen a total of 192 deaths to Covid-19. The country’s first death was confirmed in April 2020.
As per the statistics released by HPA, a total of 111 deaths from Covid-19 were confirmed between April 28 and June 5. 18.9 percent of the deceased did not have any underlying conditions.
The island nation has reported a total of 69,536 Covid-19 cases since the first one was detected in March 2020. There are currently 14,281 active cases, with 55,055 recoveries recorded.
The latest government daily figures also show that a total of 313,485 people had a first dose of a coronavirus vaccine while 175,930 had their second dose by Monday.
