FM Shahid departs to Kuwait on an official visi
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has departed on his maiden official trip to Kuwait.
The foreign minister departed on his maiden visit on Monday and will be calling on his Kuwaiti counterpart, Foreign Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah during his trip.
The pair is expected to engage in discussions regarding ongoing development cooperation projects between Maldives and Kuwait and bilateral as well as multilateral issues and mutual priorities.
In a Twitter post prior to departure, FM Shahid expressed confidence that the visit will “fortify and further enhance the strong partnership” between the two countries.
The ministry’s Multilateral Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, Director Moomina Ibrahim and Assistant Director Ahmed Salman Zaki accompany the foreign minister during his Kuwait trip.
