TC Sports Club and Green Streets have tied during the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League match held on Saturday night.
Neither team was able to score during Saturday’s match, held at the National Football Stadium.
Both teams showed a equal performance into the beginning of the match and TC’s Captain Mohamed Azzam failed to score with a shot he took in the 36th minute.
Green Street’s defender Mohamed Saeed also got an opportunity to score in the first half, which was to no avail.
The second half started with both teams showing competitive play, with Green’s Ansar Ibrahim going on the offensive and attempting to score at the 67th minute. His attempt was foiled by TC’s goalkeeper.
TC faced two yellow cards and a red card for foul play 11 minutes before the game concluded, after Nisham Mohamed Rasheed joined the second half. With the foul play and a verbal offense at the referee, TC’s coach Ahusan Rasheed was also sent off with a red card.
With this result, Green Streets remains third in the league table with 18 points won in 12 matches played thus far. TC falls to fifth with 13 points through 12 matches played.
