The Covid-19 cluster in Felivaru island of Lhaviyani atoll has grown to 345.

As such, the Head of Atoll Clusters, Abdulla Mauroof revealed that 17 islands across the atoll are currently under monitoring out of which the most infections were detected in Felivaru, Naifaru, Huraa, Hinnavaru and Dhiffushi islands.

345 coronavirus infections have been reported from Felivaru industrial island, where a fish processing plant is located, thus far.

So far, authorities have identified 550 contacts of the Felivaru cases and 750 samples have been collected for Covid-19 testing, from the island thus far.

Currently, Naifaru island has 179 active Covid-19 cases through which 245 contacts have been identified. The number of samples collected for testing from Naifaru is 1,260.
