The security provided to Judges has been upgraded following concerns expressed by some Judges.
Raajje.mv understands that some of the Judges have expressed that the situation in Male’ had gotten worse and that they feared for their lives. It is also reported that these are Judges from superior Courts.
The security had been beefed up within the past week. MNDF officers monitoring the residences had been increased, while vehicles have been arranged for their transport.
Their concerns came following the gruesome murder of social media activist and writer Yameen Rasheedh, a week ago.
Police is already investigating the case where a Deputy Minister had threatened to kill High Court Judge Shujau Usman. They are also investigating a terror cell that had planned to carry out attacks in five areas of Male’.
