Devoid of impartiality

Abbas Faiz has leveled severe criticism against Maldivian Prosecutor General and Judges.
The former Amnesty International figure and human rights expert said that “PG and judges are in breach of the principle of impartiality” and that they “must not think they will be sheltered forever”.
His sentiments came following the 15-day remand set for Qasim Ibrahim. Public sentiments had increased against the Criminal Court’s decision to remand him. Former Presidents Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and Mohamed Nasheed have called for his immediate release.
