Two high-risk Covid-19 patients from Fuvahmulah City have been transferred the Covid-management facility established in the city's hospital for treatment.
Fuvahmulah Hospital revealed that two high-risk patients with Covid-19, a 70-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman, had been transferred to the Hospital's Covid-management facility at around 11:30pm on Friday.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, Fuvahmulah City's Deputy Mayor Mohamed Lirar said that the two people had tested positive for Covid-19 from the release samples taken after they had completed quarantine, following their return from a trip to Male' City for medical purposes.
Deputy Mayor Lirar further confirmed that the two patients were doing well, and that they had been transferred to the Hospital's Covid-management facility to provide them the best possible care as they were elderly and in the high-risk category for Covid-19 related complications.
In addition to this, Fuvahmulah Hospital has also confirmed that their doctors and nurses are working in association with the Clinical Medical Advisory Team from Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in providing treatment to the two patients.
