Launch Ferry Services established between Thaa and Laamu atolls
Will start from Tuesday
The Launch Ferry Service commenced on Tuesday
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has initiated a Launch Ferry Service between Thaa and Laamu atolls.
The service, which commenced on Tuesday, will see MTCC launch ferries travelling between the atolls on four days of the week; Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Th. Veymandoo, Th. Thimarafushi and L. Gan are the islands along the route for this Launch Ferry Service set to connect Thaa and Laamu atoll, with the cost of a one-way ticket for travel between Veymandoo and Thimarfushi set at MVR 75 and two-way tickets worth MVR 150. One-way tickets for travel between Thimarafushi and L. Gan are priced at MVR 250, with two-way tickets available for the same route at a discounted MVR 400.
MTCC expressed gratitude for the support and assistance they received in establishing this service, with special mentions for the Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Aishath Nahula, Gan constituency MP Mohamed Wisam as well as Fonadhoo constituency MP Moosa Siraj.
