Saturday evening’s game between Club Green Streets and United Victory (UV) ended in a 1-1 draw.

While the first half of the match was mostly uneventful with no goals, Green Streets had made strong attacks at the UV goal including two by forward Abdulla Yaameen. His attempts were saved by the UV goalie, Ruslan Amirov.

Both teams came back for the second half with an intent to score, which was seen by their performances.

While Green Streets had made a number of attempts to score at the start of the half, they succeeded in the 53rd minute, following a foul by UV in the penalty area. Forward Angel Munoz took the penalty kick.

After this, UV increased its attacks at the Green Street goal and was able to equalize the game towards the end at the 75th minute. Substitute, Ali Haisham scored the goal after a pass by Ismail Easa.

With this result and having lost both of their previous matches, Club Green Streets and United Victory now have earned one point in the league table.

While the second match of the day was between Club Valencia’s and Maziya Sports and Recreation, it ended in a goalless draw.

There were various goal opportunities, including a notable one by Maziya at the start of the first half. While captain Asadhulla Abdulla made the shot, he was blocked by Valencia’s goalkeeper Ahmed Shafeeu.

While the country’s most celebrated footballer Ali Ashfaq plays for Valencia, he failed to make the best use of scoring opportunities during Saturday night's game.

Following this draw and two previous wins, both Valencia and Maziya have seven points each in the league table. However, Maziya is on top of the table on goal difference.

All four matches in the third week of the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League ended in draws.
