TC Sports Club won its match against Club Eagles in the Dhivehi Premier League (DPL) on Sunday while an earlier match between Da Grande Sports Club and Super United Sports (SUS) ended in a draw.

While the match between Da Grande and SUS ended with a 1-1 score, both teams failed to score a goal during the first half despite multiple opportunities.

Both teams showed improvement during the second half, with Da Grande taking the lead at the 60th minute with a goal by Ali Ifaz. The team got a chance to widen the lead four minutes later, with a penalty kick awarded after a foul from SUS’ Ahmed Aiham. However, it was saved by SUS’ goal keeper.

SUS equalized the game a minute later, with a goal from forward Atsushi Yonezawa.

Grande had to finish the game with 10 players, after Ahmed Saizan was shown a second yellow card followed by a red card and sent off the field.

Speaking to the press after the match, Da Grande’s coach Ismail Mahfooz commended the players’ performance, but noted that they were unable to take the lead due to some of their own mistakes which resulted in missed scoring opportunities.

SUS’ coach Ahmed Nashid expressed satisfaction in having earned an extra point in the table, despite their starting forward being out due to an injury. He also commended the rest of the team.

While the match ended in a draw, both Da Grande and SUS have four points in the league table having won their first matches.

TC Sports Club VS Club Eagles

TC Sports Club won its match against Club Eagles with a 2-0 score on Sunday night.

While both teams played well throughout, TC captain Mohamed Azzam scored the team’s first goal at the 15th minute following a pass from Nisham Mohamed Rasheed.

Eagles had multiple opportunities to equalize the game during the first half, including inside the penalty area at the 21st minute. However, the club was unable to do so.

TC had some problems during the second half, which led to defender Ali Shamis being sent off the field after two yellow cards and a red card.

Eagles had control of the game from this point and tried to use it to their advantage. While they increased their attacks at the goal, the team was unable to succeed in catching the net.

Despite Eagles’ control of the game, TC was able to widen the lead at the 88th minute, with a goal by Zayan Naseer.

This is TC’s first win and second game in the Dhivehi Premier League, which started on December 13. Club Eagles, who won this year’s Charity Shield match held ahead of the league, lost both their matches.
