Maldives reported 30 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday; 15 locals and 15 foreigners.

The cases were confirmed from the 1,281 samples tested within 24 hours, and 15 of the cases were detected from the greater Male’ region and the remaining from other islands or resorts.

While this bring the country’s Covid-19 case count to 11,962, there are 850 active cases in the island nation currently.

With an additional 25 recoveries reported on Saturday, a total of 11,066 patients have recovered from the virus thus far. There have been 39 deaths.

50 patients are being treated at hospitals, four less than the previous day.
