A total of 42 jets had landed at Maafaru International Airport during October.
Maafaru Airport’s General Manager Mumthaz Ali told RaajjeMV that flight movements have been steadily increasing at the airport since October 20.
The highest private jet movements during this month was recorded on October 24, when eight private jets landed.
Mumthaz added that since Maldives reopened borders for international travel on July 15, a total of 80 jets had landed at Maafaru Airport, out of which 42 of them were during October.
Private Jet Arrival Statistics publicized by the Velana International Airport (VIA) on October 27 reveal that the airport recorded the highest number of jet movement during the concluding month.
126 private jets landed at VIA this month, statistics revealed.
Maafaru International Airport is the second busiest airport since borders reopened for international travel after a little over three months since borders were closed on March 27. The airport is the only airport other than VIA, where private jets land, since it was inaugurated officially on December 1, 2019.
