Tree Top Hospital has increased their PCR testing capacity and reduced prices for the service.
The hospital revealed that they began issuing test reports within 12 hours of PCR testing for Covid-19, from Tuesday onward.
The decision for faster results at reduced prices and increased testing capacity was reached as the country is in need of increased Covid-19 testing capacity due to the evolving situation surrounding the pandemic, said the hospital.
The hospital currently conducts PCR testing for locals and work permit holders for MVR 1,149. The service is priced at MVR 1,199 for tourists.
Further, the hospital, located in capital Malé City’s suburban district Hulhumalé, also offers premium services for consumers that require urgent results of their PCR tests.
Tree Top Hospital also offers PCR testing services for out-patient (OPD) and in-patient (IDP) consumers.
The 180-bed capacity hospital was converted into the national Covid-19 treatment center after an agreement with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on April 26 and the hospital made the announcement via a press conference on May 1.
However, the hospital resumed general services from the beginning of July after having conducted decontamination and preventative cleaning programs at the premises. They have implemented a number of measures in accordance with the international safety standards to ensure the safety and protection of their employees and consumers.
