A hearing in the murder of Mohamed Anas has been scheduled for Tuesday.
The hearing is set for 1:30pm, according to the Criminal Court.
Anas was stabbed to death by a group of masked assailants on 31 July 2017. CCTV footage shows him running into Litus Service Center in an attempt to flee his attackers; the brutal attack took place inside the garage and is caught on video as well.
The state has pressed charges against seven suspects; Ahmed Zayan, Usman Shareef and Afrah Abdul Razzaq have been charged with first-degree murder while Junaih Abdulla, Hassan Mahfooz, Mohamed Shaaz and Simah Moosa are charged with accessory to murder.
While a hearing in the trial was held on February 12, the one scheduled for March to hear the testimonies of secret witnesses was later cancelled.
Prosecutors have presented a number of evidences against the suspects, who have pleaded “not guilty”.
