There have been a number of complaints over delays

There has been a delay transferring positive Covid-19 patients to treatments facilities due to adverse weather conditions.

The Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) spokesperson, Dr. Nazla Rafeeq said this at the Covid-19 press briefing on Saturday night.

Highlighting the issue in transferring patients, Nazla said that there have been a number of complaints over delays and that this has been due to the current weather conditions.

She noted that there have been issues in transferring patients especially to the Eriyadhoo facility.

Further, she said that some individuals wish to remain at home until all family members are tested and that the center has been allowing this.

According to the doctor, a total of 91 patients were transferred to treatment facilities on Saturday.

While five Covid-19 treatments were established across the country recently, there have been an increase in confirmed cases from outlying islands.
