Maldives confirmed 36 new cases of the global Covid-19 pandemic on Sunday.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed that the new cases include 29 Maldivians, five Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian nationals.
This has pushed the country’s Covid-19 total to 2,966.
Additionally, with eight new recoveries reported on Sunday, the total number of recoveries has risen to 2,362.
Maldives currently has 574 active cases of the virus.
While there are none remaining in quarantine facilities, a total of 468 individuals remain in isolation facilities.
The island nation has seen 15 deaths related to the pandemic, thus far.
