The Ministers of Foreign Affairs from the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Maldives have held discussions on ways to overcome the economic and financial consequences of the global Covid-19 pandemic.

This was done during a telephone conversation between Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Meliza Haradinaj on Friday.

The pair held productive and constructive discussions on the existing bilateral cooperation and agreed to strengthen collaboration and cooperation in areas of mutual interest bilaterally as well as at multilateral fora.

During the conversation, both ministers expressed commitment to work closely to further strengthen and enhance relations.

FM Shahid’s Kosovan counterpart expressed gratitude for the Maldives’ “principled stance” to recognize the independence of Kosovo and also support its international membership bids.
