Covid-19: 13 new cases reported on Monday
The new cases include five locals and eight foreigners

Maldives reported 13 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, as well as 13 additional recoveries.
The new cases include five locals and eight foreigners (seven Bangladeshis and one Indian national).
This brings the country’s Covid-19 case count to 2,337.
With the additional 13 recoveries, the country’s total recoveries is at 1,927, with the recovery rate at 82.49 percent.
Following Monday’s reports, Maldives’ active cases has once again dropped below 400. As such, the current active cases sit at 397.
While there are 12 people admitted at hospital, three are currently on ventilators.
Maldives’ first Covid-19 cases were confirmed from a resort on March 7, and a community transmission was detected on April 15th. While the capital region was placed on lockdown immediately, the country began lockdown easing on May 29.
