Maldives Covid-19 cases surpass 2,300

22 new cases report on Saturday, pushing total to 2,305

Maldives has reported 22 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, as well as 12 recoveries.

The new cases include four locals, 14 Bangladeshi nationals and four Sri Lankans.

This brings the country's Covid-19 case count to 2,305.

While a total of 118 cases were reported this week, this is 42 less than the previous week which saw 160 cases.

The 118 new cases reported this week include 16 new cases on June 21, 21 cases on June 22, 16 cases on June 23, 26 cases on June 24, 16 cases on June 25, four cases on June 26 and 19 cases on June 27. This is according to the Health Ministry’s Covid-19 Dashboard.

There are currently 417 active cases in the country, with a total of 87 recoveries reported this week as well.
