Covid-19: 13 new cases on Friday, recoveries continue to rise

With 10 new recoveries reported on Friday, the Maldives Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 82.28%.

The country has seen a total of 1,769 recoveries from the infection thus far.

13 new cases were confirmed on Friday, revealed the Health Protection Agency (HPA).

The new cases include:

  • Three Maldivians,
  • 10 Bangladeshi nationals

With this development, the country’s Covid-19 tally has risen to 2,150. Out of the total, 371 are active cases, revealed the authority.

Further, the Covid-19 dashboard reveals that there are five Covid-19 patients currently hospitalized, while the island nation has seen eight Covid-19 related deaths thus far. This is a mortality rate of 0.37%.

The HPA also revealed that there are 156 individuals currently in quarantine facilities while 302 have been isolated.
