Maldives has reported 22 new Covid-19 cases and an additional 94 recoveries, on Sunday.
The Health Protections Agency revealed this via Twitter, and the new cases include;
- Nine Maldivians,
- Nine Bangladeshi nationals,
- Two Nepalese nationals,
- One Indian national, and
- One Thai national
While the cases reported on Sunday include two elderly men, a 92-year-old and 83-year-old, the remaining are between the ages of 20 and 55. Most of them belong to previously identified clusters, as per the Health Ministry’s Covid-19 Dashboard.
While this brings the Maldives’ case count to 2,035, there are currently 714 active cases in the country with the recovery of a total of 1,311 patients.
The country has seen eight Covid-19 related deaths; four locals and four Bangladeshi nationals.
There are currently 670 people in isolation facilities, and 347 under quarantine.
