Maldives Covid-19 recoveries exceed active cases

Maldives currently has more Covid-19 recoveries than active cases.

26 new cases were reported on Tuesday; 19 locals and seven Bangladeshi nationals. This brings the country’s case count to 1,942.

Four children under 15 are among the cases announced on Tuesday, while the remaining are between the ages of 21 to 60.

While an additional 85 recoveries were announced on Tuesday, a total of 1,010 people have recovered from the virus thus far.

There are currently 922 active cases in the Maldives.

The country has confirmed eight Covid-19 related deaths; four locals and four Bangladeshi nationals.

There are currently 939 people in isolation facilities while 532 are in quarantine facilities. Over 31,600 samples have been tested thus far.
