The Direct Democracy Global Maldives is set to host a webinar based around the rights of migrant workers.
The webinar will commence live at 4pm on Sunday, on Facebook.
“Social Tunes” is an initiative by the Direct Democracy Global Maldives and discussions at the webinar will revolve around labour migration governance in the context of a changing employment landscape and skilling migrants for employment by addressing gaps in migrant protection.
Moderated by Political Science Expert Dr. Rasheeda Mohamed Didi, the webinar will be joined by a number of panelists.
The panelists that will be joining the webinar include:
- Ali Hussain Didi, Independent Consultant
- Dr. Mariyam Shakeela, CEO of SIMDI Group and Honorary Consul of Belgium
- Asim Abdul Sattar, Faculty Dean of the Maldives National University
- MP for south-Mahchangoalhi constituency, Ahmed Haitham,
