Abdulla Rabiu has been appointed to the post of Assistant Prosecutor General.
The Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) revealed that Rabiu filled the position of Senior Public Prosecutor prior to his appointment as Assistant PG.
Appointed to the post of Assistant Public Prosecutor during February 2009, Rabiu has been providing his services to the office over the course of the past 11 years.
Rabiu holds a Degree from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt and also attained a Master’s Degree in Shariah and Law from Villa College in the Maldives.
He is also known to have completed a number of seminars and training programmes in the field including in forensic science, investigation of sexual abuse as well as international level training programmes for human rights.
Alongside Rabiu, Hussain Nashid, Jihadha Anees and Shamra Shameem also serve as Assistant Prosecutor Generals.
Following the appointment, PG Hussain Shameem congratulated his fellow Al-Azhar University graduate and expessed keenness to even more contributions to the work of PGO.
