Covid-19: recoveries in Maldives reaches 154
10 new recoveries reported on Monday
13 of the recoveries are the cases reported prior to the detection of a community spread, foreigners from resorts
Recovery rate is over 10 percent

154 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the Maldives.

While the recoveries were at 144 on Sunday, the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) announced an additional 10 recoveries at Monday night’s press briefing.

It has been revealed that most of the recoveries recorded in the country are locals. 13 of the recoveries are the cases reported prior to the detection of a community transmission, foreigners from resorts.

Authorities have said that recovery rate is slower than anticipated, and that it is taking an average of 17 days.

While the Health Ministry’s Covid-19 Dashboard is yet to be updated following the 10 new recoveries, it notes that the recovery rate is over 10 percent.

A total of 1,395 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in the Maldives, with 24 new cases recorded on Monday. There have been four fatalities and the mortality rate is at 0.29 percent.
