One more Covid-19 recovery has been reported in the Maldives.
According to the Ministry of Health’s dashboard, the number of recovered Covid-19 patients in the island nation currently sits at 128, while it was 127 early Sunday.
Out of the 18 recoveries reported on Saturday, three are Maldivians, authorities reported. With this, the country’s Covid-19 recovery rate has risen to 9.75%. Mortality rate is currently at 0.30%, with deaths reported thus far.
Earlier, the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) reported that most recoveries recorded in the country are Maldivians.
13 recoveries, all foreigners from resorts, are from cases that were reported prior to the community transmission being discovered in the Maldives capital, Malé City following which a lockdown was imposed across the Greater Malé Region.
Further, authorities have stressed that the recovery rate is slower than they had initially predicted, stating that recovery is observably taking an average of 17 days.
