Couple who were found dead in their room in the capital city on Sunday, have been buried.

Gasim Shahid, 47 and Razeena Ibrahim, 42, were buried in a shared grave at the Aa’saharaa Cemetery, after Monday afternoon prayer.

Police media official informed that the burial was held after officers had gathered the necessary information for the investigation.

Police did not disclose any further information on the matter.

Gasim and Razeena were found dead inside their room in an apartment in Maafannu Light Signal- located on Maaveyo Magu- on Sunday afternoon, by the police who responded to calls from some worried residents of the apartment. The calls were made after the couple failed to leave the room since Saturday evening.

Eyewitnesses told RaajjeMV, that their bodies did not show any signs of violence.

Both Gasima nd Razeena’s bodies were initially taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for examination.

The two were originally from Thaa Atoll Villufushi.
