“Moolee”, Ooredoo Maldives’ E-commerce platform, has initiated a special gift delivery service dubbed “Eid Hadhiya”, offering customers to bestow gifts to loved ones in commemoration of Islamic holiday, Eid-Al-Fitr.
The telecommunications service provider revealed that the gift delivery service introduced on Thursday is an attempt to maintain the Maldivian tradition of exchanging gifts during the blessed occasion, which celebrates the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
It aims to keep the people connected during the auspicious occasion and provide convenience for customers to exchange gifts, despite the current restrictions in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The service is provided in collaboration with a number of wholesalers and retailers including “Thakethi”, Link Serve, Allora, Maldice, Westore and Brandloom and allows customers to select their gifts among a variety of products including food items from renowned “The Space”.
A categorized list of available products can be accessed on the Moolee shop via the Ooredoo App. Customers may choose their products and list the address where the gift is needed to be delivered to, during checkout.
Special messages or “Eid Greeting Cards” may also be attached at checkout.
Further, Ooredoo revealed that recipients of the gifts stand the chance to enter lucky draws to win a pair of “Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus”, wireless earbuds.
To participate in this lucky draw, recipients are required to drop a like to the Moolee’s page on Facebook and upload a picture of the gift with hashtags #EidHadhiya and #DeliveredByMoolee before 11:59pm on May 30.
The telecom giant added that the team from Moolee has been working closely with the partners in order to ensure the safety instructions by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) and other relevant authorities are adhered to, when during delivery.
