The expatriate who passed away in Fuvahmulah City, tested negative for Covid-19.
The City Council revealed that three samples were taken on May 14 and all of them have tested negative for the infection, including the sample taken from the deceased.
The expatriate died in the city on May 14 and the burial took place a few days later.
The council revealed that the burial was carried out under the instructions of the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC), to be followed under the State of Public Health Emergency.
