11 Covid-19 patients are currently hospitalized, with three on ventilators.

Two of the patients are admitted at DH11 at Dharumavantha Hospital. While three were hospitalized there, with two on ventilators, one of the patients passed away on Wednesday night. This was the fourth Covid-19 death in the Maldives.

Nine are admitted at the Tree Top Hospital in the capital’s suburban district Hulhumalé. Out of the nine, two are on ventilators.

The two patients on ventilators at Tree Top Hospital are foreigners, a 54-year-old and 29-year-old; both men.

While Maldives has confirmed 982 Covid-19 cases thus far, 46 patients have recovered.

The 11th floor at Dharumavantha can provide treatment for 10 patients at full capacity, while Tree Top Hospital can treat up to 180.
