An additional nine Covid-19 patients have recovered in the Maldives.

While this was announced at the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC)’s nightly press on Saturday, Dr. Ibrahim Afzal revealed that the recovered patients include 16 Maldivians and 13 foreigners.

20 recoveries were announced previously.

While some of the patients being treated at Dharumavantha Hospital have been moved to Tree Top Hospital, Dr. Afzal said that there are currently four patients admitted at DH11.

Two Maldivian men, a 70-year-old and 88-year-old, are on a ventilator. The others admitted there include a 48-year-old foreigner and a 41-year-old Maldivian; Dr. Afzal said that the latter was moved to DH11 recently, adding that the individual admitted was for another condition but had tested positive after samples were taken as per procedures.
