Nearly 100 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in the Maldives.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed 86 new cases on Friday evening.

New cases include; 67 Bangladeshis, 14 Maldivians, three Indians and one each from Sri Lanka and Nepal.

HPA added that these also include “samples from active surveillance of vulnerable homes”.

While this pushes the country’s Covid-19 case count to 734, 20 have recovered thus far. There have been three Covid-19 related deaths thus far.
