Covid-19 community transmission
Maldives reports nine new Covid-19 cases
 
This is the new development since the last two cases were reported early Wednesday
 
Four out of the nine are Maldivian nationals and five are Bangladeshi nationals
 
The individuals will be moved to an isolation facility

An additional nine people have tested positive for Covid-19 from Maldives capital.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that these are four Maldivians and five Bangladeshi nationals.

They are being transferred to an isolation facility.

The number of confirmed cases since the community spread was discovered on April 15;

  • One case on 15 April
  • Two cases on 16 April
  • Five cases on 17 April
  • Seven cases on 18 April
  • 17 cases on 19 April
  • 15 cases on 20 April
  • 17 cases on 21 April
  • Two cases on 22 April
