A flight of Maldives' national airline "Maldivian" has arrived from Sri Lanka carrying 10 tons of cargo.
According to Maldivian's Public Relations Manager Moosa Waseem, the cargo freighter from Sri Lanka arrived on Sunday with perishable foodstuff, medicines alongside fruits and vegetables.
The airline is set to transport cargo from four different countries. They are; India, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates and Thailand.
India has guaranteed the provision of essentials required by the Maldives, despite the state of lockdown declared in the neighbouring country.
A shipment of 500 MT of sugar and 993 MT of rice from India arrived in Male' City on Saturday with an additional 1500 MT of rice and 500 MT of sugar en-route.
