Maldives Police Service (MPS) has arrested an expatriate who was in possession of a hefty amount of cash and bottles of alcohol.
Police made the reveal via Twitter on Friday evening, adding that the expatriate was stopped for the illegal operation of a bicycle and that upon inspection, officers discovered that the bicycle was stolen.
Further, officers discovered bottles suspected to be filled with alcohol on him along with hefty amounts of cash.
Arrested in connection to the case is a 55-year-old Indian national.
The case is under further investigations, revealed police.
