The Ministry of Economic Development has resumed services offered via the xPat Online System.
The Maldives declared a public holiday as a preventive measure against the spread of Covid19 in the country. With government offices closed during this period, some services offered via the xPat Online System had been temporarily suspended.
According to an announcement by the ministry, employment approval and expatriate employment quota services will be available during the public holidays.
The ministry states that applications can be submitted via the system on weekdays from 29th March to April 2nd from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The xPat Online System is a database used to submit "online applications regarding quota and employment approvals (EA) in order to bring foreign employees to the country."
