BML issues reminder to use online bookings for dollar purchase

Bank of Maldives (BML) has issued a notice, reminding customers to make online bookings for easier dollar purchase.
A statement released by the Bank on Thursday stated that the Bank had introduced the system back in January, so that bank customers can gain easier access to dollars.
Customers can purchase up to US$ 500 from the bank’s website, www.bankofmaldives.com.mv. The notice also said that dollars can be purchased from the BML counter at departure gate 4 at Velana International Airport.
The bank also instructs customers to complete dollar transactions eight hours prior to departure time.
In the event, online booking is not possible, the bank assures that customers will be able to access the service from the branches located in Male’, similar to the method in the airport. BML says that priority will be given to elderly and individuals with disabilities and special conditions.
