Monitoring measures placed on Paradise Island Resort have been lifted.

The island was brought under monitoring after the discovery of 10 individuals symptomatic to the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), on Thursday.

Eight Maldivians were included among the ten, and authorities did not disclose whether the remaining two are guests at the resort or workers. They were placed under home-isolation.

The test results for samples taken came back negative, revealed HPA.

Since 15 March, there have been 13 confirmed cases of the virus in the Maldives; five from Kuredu Island Resort and two each from Kuramathi Maldives, Sandies Bathala, Anantara Dhigu and Island Safari 1.
