Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced that the company has arranged paid leave for all elder staff employed at the company, along with those who are seeking treatment for a long-term or chronic disease.
This was taken as a precautionary measure, as part of the company’s efforts to protect staff from the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) which emerged in the Maldives on 7 March.
The company made the reveal via Twitter, adding that a paid leave has been arranged for all employees above 55 years of age.
Further, the leave also applies for expecting mothers and those medically at high-risk, employed at the company.
MACL has also declared that Velana International Airport (VIA) is safe for all travelers, as the company highly prioritizes customer safety.
