Covid-19: MACL arranges paid leave for high-risk employees
This was taken as a precautionary measure, as part of the company’s efforts to protect staff from the Covid-19 pandemic

Expecting mothers and those medically at high-risk, employed at the company are also applicable for the leave

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced that the company has arranged paid leave for all elder staff employed at the company, along with those who are seeking treatment for a long-term or chronic disease.

This was taken as a precautionary measure, as part of the company’s efforts to protect staff from the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) which emerged in the Maldives on 7 March.

The company made the reveal via Twitter, adding that a paid leave has been arranged for all employees above 55 years of age.

Further, the leave also applies for expecting mothers and those medically at high-risk, employed at the company.

MACL has also declared that Velana International Airport (VIA) is safe for all travelers, as the company highly prioritizes customer safety.
