A security guard posted at a house in the Maafannu ward of the capital city, has been found dead.
Maldives Police Services said that it received a report at around 8am on Tuesday.
Deceased is a 46-year-old Maldivian man.
While the man worked as a security guard, police said that initial investigations showed that he died while on duty. It did not disclose any further details.
Police continues to look into the case.
