The Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure has revealed that the Greater Male' Connectivity Bridge will be constructed with aid assistance from India.
The announcement was made by Minister of State Akram Kamaludeen during a press conference held on Thursday.
Noting that the construction of the bridge will be funded by Indian grant assistance, Akram stated that they currently finalising the details of the agreement.
He added that these discussions are currently ongoing.
The Greater Male' Connectivity Bridge project -which will connect Male', Villimale' and Thilafushi- is expected to cost USD 15 million.
The construction of this bridge is the largest project undertaken by the incumbent administration.
