COVID-19: President briefed "in detail" on preventive measures being taken

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih was updated on preventive measures being actively taken in relation to the Covid-19 global outbreak.
Cabinet ministers and stakeholders, as well as experts, briefed the president at the meeting held on Monday afternoon.
He was briefed "in detail" on the preventive measures being actively taken by relevant authorities in relation to the Covid-19 global outbreak.
The discussions also focused on preparation and risk reduction efforts undertaken by relevant authorities in the unfortunate event of a positive case of Covid-19 in the country.
President Solih instructed authorities to reach out to the people and exponentially increase awareness efforts of risk factors and preventive measures that can be taken to safeguard from Covid-19 virus.
