Maldives tops CNN’s "most romantic destinations" list
Second on the list is Quebec City, Canada with Tuscany, Italy at its tail on the third spot

Maldives was dubbed the most romantic destination to travel, on previous occasions as well

Maldives has topped the list of “the world's most romantic places” to visit, by American television network, CNN.

Having made the top spot of the list of 13 most romantics destinations across the globe, Maldives is described by travel and food writer for CNN, Chris Dwyer as “always hovering near the top” of bucket lists for romantic travelers.

Further, the writer describes the scatter of 26 atolls to boast some of the “dreamiest” beaches, islands and waters across the entire globe.

Second on the list is Quebec City, Canada with Tuscany, Italy at its tail on the third spot.

Following are some of the other destinations to have made the list;

· Hawaii,

· Charleston, South Carolina,

· Botswana,

· Paris, France,

· Istanbul, Turkey,

· Hoi An, Vietnam,

· Bora Bora, French Polynesia,

· Venice, Italy,

· Buenos Aires, Argentina and

· Kyoto, Japan.

Maldives was dubbed the most romantic destination to travel, on previous occasions as well, with the archipelago nation being one of the biggest choices for zealous travelers for a peaceful getaway to bask in the sunlight and stroll down powdery white beaches, overlooking crystalline waters and picturesque sunsets.

The country sees the highest count of tourist arrivals during the peak season in like with Christmas, new years and year-end holidays. During these days, the occupancy rates snowball in local resorts.

Tourist arrivals in the country were recorded at 1,702,887 during the past year.

The most number of tourists arrived in Maldives from Europe, regions of the Asia Pacific, China, India, Italy, Germany and England.
