Aboobakuru Abdul Kareem has been appointed as a deputy minister at the Ministry of Health.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih made the appointment on Sunday.
Kareem, who has completed Advance Certificate in Community Health, is currently enrolled in Diploma in Office Management.
Prior to this appointment as deputy minister, he had served as a Director of the Juvenile Justice Unit at the Ministry of Home Affairs. Kareem also served as a Director at the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services.
With his addition, the Ministry of Health currently has three deputy ministers.
