Maldives Police Service (MPS) has arrested a 15-year-old in possession of sharp weapons.

Speaking to media, authorities revealed that upon receiving the report of a minor in possession of a sharp weapon, officers had conducted a raid at the 15-year-old’s residence on Wednesday.

Officers confiscated four knives and a pipe in his possession following the raid.

Further, police revealed that the minor has been taken under police custody.

However, further details have not been revealed as the case involves a minor.

Investigations have since been launched into the case, revealed police.
