President appoints new deputy youth minister
 
With the addition of Nasih, the ministry has a total of four deputy ministers
 
Nasih is currently completing Bachelor of Shariah and Law
 
Mohamed Nasih Rasheed was appointed to the post on Tuesday

Mohamed Nasih Rasheed has been appointed as a new Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih made the appointment on Tuesday.

Nasih served as the President of Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Council prior to his appointment as the new Deputy Youth Minister. With his appointment, the number of deputy ministers at the ministry has reached four.

While he also served as a member of the council, he handed in his resignation from the post of council president prior to the main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s primary elections held last weekend.

Further, Nasih is completing a Bachelor of Shariah and Law currently and presently holds a Diploma in Project Management and an Advance Certificate in Youth Development.

Deputy ministers receive a monthly salary of MVR 30,500.
